Full Time

Award winning, national construction management firm is looking for a top-notch Construction Controller to lead their Accounting team. Reputable,  innovative, state-of-the-art Construction firm specializing in commercial and multi-family construction.

Ideal candidate is a Controller who will own, in partnership with the CFO, the accounting responsibilities for our national company with various entities

 

Job Duties:


Supervise the monthly close out process 
Be responsible for preparation of monthly financial statements including WIP analysis and budget reporting 
Provide oversight of payroll processing and related benefits deductions 
Prepare monthly reporting package and assist the CFO and Senior Management with special projects and analysis as the Company grows and evolves 
Assist in the management of the day-to-day financial operations 
Support coordinating all external auditor activities 
Create efficiencies in the accounting process by leveraging technology 
Work directly with senior management in preparing new analytical reports and reporting deliverables as needed 
Follow up with the company's internal accounting policies to ensure they are appropriate and current 
Provide technical accounting guidance, financial due diligence, and analysis on strategic financial initiatives

Salary Range and Bonus Potential:  

  • Base of $100K-$120K + Bonus potential

Job Requirements:

Detail oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude  
Outstanding communicator 
Positive, high energy, and eager to learn and work in a fast-paced, extremely high-growth company 
5 – 15 years of increasing responsibility in corporate accounting/finance with at least 3+ years’ experience in a management role 
A minimum of a BS degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred 
Advanced skills with formulas and complex financial spreadsheets in MS Excel; proficiency with other MS Office applications and multiple Cloud Based File solutions 
Strong technical accounting skills  
Experience with Sage 300 Timberline is preferred but not required    
Ability to assess risks, problems, issues and to develop recommended solutions 
Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented/team-oriented mindset 
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and accuracy 
Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapid change a must 
Strong personal integrity along with high ethical standards 
Able to function in a friendly and outgoing environment 
Committed to a superior experience for our internal and external customers 
Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from the United States is required
  • CPA strongly preferred, but not required.
