We will be looking to you to plan, design and execute our projects for success. You understand project planning, risk identification and mitigation, critical path analysis, team building and mentorship. The ideal candidate will come with experience in hardware systems, including SOLID architecture, design, development, and support. You have the ability to plan, prioritize and track multiple simultaneous projects utilizing both internal and partner resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with stakeholders and functional groups, within our family of companies, to develop and maintain project plans for all assigned projects
  • Identify resource constraints and gaps and assist in developing remediation plans
  • Identify project risks and work to develop mitigation/prioritization strategies
  • Create and/or assist in the creation, management and maintenance of project related documents including documents to engage and coordinate with development partners
  • Track and report on project budgets
  • Prepare reports, as needed, to present to management on the status of projects
  • Assist in the support of current operational systems and in the development and implementation of a roadmap for future systems
  • Conduct managerial administrative tasks related to staffing, counseling and reviewing
  • Travel, as required, to corporate or partner sites for project coordination

Qualifications:

  • B.S Degree in an engineering discipline, M.S. Degree preferred
  • 7+ years experience as a hands-on engineer
  • 7+ years experience managing engineers and multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience in circuit design, layout, diagnosis – Altium experience is preferred
  • Experience in test system architecture, design, development, and support – LabView experience is preferred
  • Experience with RF/wireless technologies including cellular and Bluetooth
  • Experience with power management
  • Team leadership, project planning/execution
  • Experience working with consulting partners including project definition, Request For Quote/Proposal creation, SOW creation, project coordination, deliverable management and acceptance
  • Experience in outsourced and staff augmentation/co-development models and ensuring consistent knowledge and skill sets between internal and multiple external development partners
  • Experience with integrating acquisitions
  • Experience with product consolidation and End Of Life
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate technically complex ideas to several different audiences
  • Microsoft Office, Project, Visio

Experience in these areas would be a plus:

  • Medical device development
  • Familiarity with FDA guidelines related to medical devices
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Circuit design for ECG signal collection
  • Mechanical engineering domain knowledge – SolidWorks preferred
  • System defect tracking systems (TestTrack, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc)
  • Software version control management and related systems (Subversion, Jenkins)
  • Document management systems
