JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Major Gifts Manager

Responsible for oversight of the major individual giving program, which is defined by gifts greater than $1,000. This position will maintain a portfolio of major gift donors and will actively identify, engage, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective donors to meet revenue targets. The manager will serve as the main point of contact for these assigned donors to help deepen their relationship and increase their support for the Organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a portfolio of current and prospect major donors with an annual fundraising goal for the current fiscal year.
• Implement programs and activities to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors targeted at the $1,000 level or higher, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue for
• Foothill Family. Personally solicits assigned donor portfolio, including preparation of personalized materials when needed.
• Develop and execute ongoing strategy for qualifying suspects and moving them to prospect status using tools such as small cultivation and recognition events, research
• and community networking.
• Coordinate activities and solicitation related to employee giving campaign including planning, organization, implementation, and follow-up of annual appeal.
• Attend events as needed to support the Development Department and deepen interaction with donors and potential donors.
• Assist in other financial development projects as assigned.

 

Salary Range and Bonus Potential:
• $ 70K to $ 80K

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 4-7+ years of experience in successful fund raising activities, including major gift solicitation, event management and planned giving.
• Demonstrated ability to work with volunteers and establish and maintain effective relationships with senior executives both within the organization and with the
• volunteer guild.
• Some experience Raiser’s Edge database administration is preferred.
• Valid CA Driver License and maintains insurability on the Agency’s Auto-liability policy

Minimum Required experience:
• 4-7+ years of experience in successful fund raising activities, including major gift solicitation, event management and planned giving.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
