As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll join a fun, high-energy, fast-paced company and drive their cloud capabilities in support of ongoing product strategy. You will be a member of the IT team and partner with their Platform and Architecture team to design, implement, and operate their cloud infrastructure.

Advance tools to manage and automate production and test environments and deployment
Develop scripts, metrics, and applications to automate and improve operational processes and availability, scaling, and security of the production environment
Design and Implement monitoring systems to ensure reliability and performance
Care deeply about quality and things working well
Utilize your passion for scaling efforts through automation
Take ownership of key components of their platform infrastructure
Manage and tune relational databases and other persistence technology used by the platform
Implement high-quality, well-documented, testable, robust, and maintainable code for tools/scripts
Participate in the full software development lifecycle in a fast-paced, dynamic, truly agile workflow
Work both independently and in a highly collaborative environment
Collect and define technical requirements; write specification documents as needed
Apply modern open source tools and frameworks where appropriate
Make recommendations regarding the development of new code, reuse or refactoring of existing code, and use of 3rd party and/or open source frameworks and tools
Work closely with software engineers to assist in the reproduction and resolution of defects

Salary Range:
• $100,000 to $135,000 per year

Job Requirements:
• Hands-on experience building and operating private and/or public clouds at scale; 5+ years in delivering cloud solutions
• Minimum of 2 years in a senior capacity running production applications (SaaS) in a cloud environment
• Experience with large-scale distributed infrastructure systems; good understanding of Data Centers and provisioning/managing infrastructure resources (Compute/Network/Storage)
• Fluent in Linux (CoreOS/Ubuntu/CentOS) and experience with emerging container technologies
• Experience with Software Defined Networking, Content Delivery Networks, and Configuration Management Tools is a plus
• Design and implementation of operational monitoring and management solutions with integration between cloud native and on premises solutions
• Working knowledge of MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra
• Experience with the development of Continuous Integration build pipelines and management such as Jenkins, Bamboo
• Current expertise with orchestration and cloud automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Cloudformation, Azure Resource Manager
• Design and implementation of cloud solutions to support disaster recovery
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language (ideally Java, JavaScript, or Ruby, Bash, or Python)
• Understanding of modern web application frameworks (e.g. React, Angular2)
• Must know production Linux environments, virtualization, microservices (ideally with Docker, Kubernetes)
• Git, modern IDEs, and build/deployment tools (e.g. Maven, SBT, Jenkins, Chef)
• GCP, AWS, or equivalent IAAS and PAAS cloud services
• SQL and relational database fundamentals
• Designing mission critical, scalable, and fault tolerant web applications
• End-to-end debugging and performance tuning
• Educational Requirements: B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
