JOB DESCRIPTION: TriStaff is partnering with their client in San Diego - seeking a qualified candidate for a challenging and rewarding Electronic Technician - Maintains, programs, tests, troubleshoots, modifies and repairs electrical/electronic circuit boards, components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment and test equipment, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics. The position applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation, as well as provides electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing.
Job Duties:
1. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, circuit boards, power supplies, and test equipment with the use of schematics and other supporting engineering documentation.
2. Programs and tests programmable ICs and FPGA using internally developed firmware and FPGA code.
3. Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
4. Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational tests to evaluate performance.
5. Assists in inspection of incoming electronic devices for functionality and quality standards.
Salary Range:
• $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Job Requirements:
• Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field.
• Three to five years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics pneumatic field.
• Three years’ computer experience/operation and PLC programming.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the ability to read and comprehend schematics, and the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Educational Requirements:
• Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field.
