JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a SW quality engineer with a strong level of interest in simulation. Outside of a traditional QA role, this position is for the individual with a background in Electrical Engineering and Physics who is open to learning new things on the fly and has an appreciation for the SW development process. You will be performing quality assurance on our advanced semiconductor fabrication modeling and electrical analysis SW on both Windows and Linux platforms. Jr and experienced candidates welcome.

Job Duties:
• Validate the functionality and accuracy of our semiconductor virtual fabrication environment
• Participate in planning and design discussions with the software development team
• Collaborate with software developers to isolate and resolve defects
• Conduct exploratory testing by developing realistic process flows representing advanced CMOS technology nodes
• Design test cases for automated functional and performance regression test suites
• Simulate and verify electrical characteristics of transistors and interconnects
• Interact with the applications support team to define customer-centric test cases

Salary Range and Bonus Potential:
$ 60K to $ 100K+
• 10 % bonus

Job Requirements:
• 0-2+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Semiconductor experience not required
• Detail-oriented individual who enjoys systematically exploring engineering software
• Must have Scripting/Coding Experience with Python(preferred) in order to maintain internal automated testing framework.
• Experience with “Squish” UI testing tool highly desirable
• Proficiency Linux or Unix operating systems
• Team oriented personality with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Desire to interface with internal customers (i.e. applications engineers) to resolve customer issues.

Preferred Qualifications
• Work experience in software quality assurance
• Experience as a user or tester of 3D software such as CAD, CAE or TCAD tools

Educational Requirements:
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
