Job Duties:

Summary

As Senior Product Manager, the incumbent will manage one or more product lines. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. The incumbent will help define products using existing ideas, and will also help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.

We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background, wireless public-safety ecosystem experience, and some history driving and managing products and/or product portfolios. The individual will manage one or more product lines in each phase from development through to successful deployment and delighted customers.

 

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the variety of specific and relevant wireless public safety standards and specifications that provide guidance to the development of products in the public safety category. Those requirements include, for example, IFC 510, NFPA 1221, and UL2524.

 

In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will be familiar with fundamental commercial business financial principles and calculations, like gross margin, cost analysis, break-even, and return on investment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

  • The focus will be on ensuring that all the products and related peripherals in the category under management meet the requirements of the marketplace.
  • The Product Manager will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and the Executive team to provide specifications, documents, tools, presentations, written material, video material, and a variety of otherdeliverables as part of the overall product collateral material.
    • Product preparation (labels, inserts, packaging)
    • Marketing collateral material
    • Technical collateral material
    • Financial inputs (costing, pricing, etc.)
  • The individual will work closely with the Solution Architects and Support teams to develop training and support material.

Job Requirements:

Requirements and Experience

5+ years of experience in the following required:

  • Product Management
  • Product Marketing
  • Wireless LMR Public-Safety In-Building products and technology

  • Cellular and/or Public Safety (P25) radio fundamentals

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's, Engineering or other similar degree
