Job Description

Our Client is a fast-growing life sciences firm that works closely with developing and delivering innovative tools to enable epigenetics and gene regulation research.  We are currently seeking a professional Technical Writer skilled in the field of science and technology to join this expanding team. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with scientific staff to prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
  • Develop and document technical specifications and SOPs
  • Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy documents
  • Analyze and edit documents to maintain continuity of style of content
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
  • Coordinate with the Quality department to address quality issues
  • Produce SOPs and work instructions for all production processes
  • Interface with Master Control eQMS for document management
  • Perform all activities in accordance with the ISO13485 standard
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree with experience in life science preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field preferred
  • Associates degree with proven experience working in a technical writing position
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of antibody and recombinant protein expression and purification is a plus



  • MS Office emphasis on MS Word
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Master Control
  • Read and write technical work instruction, specification, and SOP documents
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 requirements
