We are partnering with our client in San Diego in a search for an IT Project Manager (Hybrid role). The candidate we are looking for has the ability to plan, establish and manage information technology (IT) projects and serves as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. Our client is a rapidly growing technology company that provides technical support to a growing group of clients. Their priority is their clients and great service.
Information about this job:
- Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
- Under the direction of leadership, plans project and service execution to meet required revenue generation and resource utilization goals.
- Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
- Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
- Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Additional Required Skills/Abilities:
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Experience with successful management of the following types of projects:
- New deployment or refresh of existing network equipment (route, switch, wireless)
- Network and systems assessment and design
- Physical to virtual (P2V) migration
- Storage (NAS) deployment and upgrade
- Azure AD migration
- Endpoint detection and response (EDR) implementation
- Email platform migration (Exchange and Google)
- Workstation refresh
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
- Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
- Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
- Reliable vehicle and willing and able to travel in Southern California
Minimum requirements for the IT Project Manager role:
- At least three years of related work experience required.
- Working knowledge of the following technologies:
- Cisco IOS/NX-OS and wireless
- Meraki wireless, switching, and security
- VMware vSphere
- Active Directory
- Network security
- Endpoint security
- Network storage
